Fresh inspiration for your day: A spin on Hispanic tradition
The fiery passion and authentic romance of Hispanic culture is not often set to the backdrop of a woodsy, Western New York fall. But in honor of her heritage, Dania Wahl of La Esposita Bonita Estate curated a styled shoot with the help of local vendors – who share her Hispanic roots – to show couples the beauty that unfolds when they let tradition and nature inspire their special day.
“Everything we do we do with passion and we do it with love,” said Dania.
An earthy palette
This wedding in the woods merges natural tones of crisp oranges and earthy browns with hues representative of Hispanic heritage—romantic reds, brassy golds and touches of yellow.
Traditional glamor
Every detail of the bride’s look was intentional, from her braided hairstyle and decadent earrings to the striking red dress that emphasizes the spice and effortless love infused in Spanish folklore.
“That dress is vibrant, it’s hot, it’s vivid, it’s colorful. It’s everything about what we are,” said Dania.
All in the details
Design elements like color palette and florals are elegantly detailed to make this cake a showstopper.
“Everything has to be cohesive in such a way so that when you sit down, it’s appealing to all your senses,” said Dania.
Intentional florals
The flower selection was inspired by those common in South America. Purchased locally, they marry the shoot’s celebration of culture with the resources and artistic talent right here in Buffalo.
Food for the senses
A row of towering candlesticks adds dimension and elegance to this tablescape. The team wanted to show how affordable details can combine to cast a classic feel and feed the senses the moment guests sit down.
Whimsical beauty
At the heart of the scene: the fairytale backdrop. The dining set, which creatively makes use of a banquet table disguised by a wooden topper, gives the setting a cozy, old-world feel.
“How beautiful it is as a couple to walk through the woods and just know that everything around them is love surrounded by nature,” said Dania.
