“When photographing food, I tend to take a minimalist approach, allowing the focus to be on the dish itself and letting the ingredients shine. Using the straight edge of a table or colors from the seating booth creates composition and helps incorporate the vibe of the restaurant. The focus of the image should be the food and what the chef worked so hard to build, and this technique helps me convey that message.”
