Kelley Design Group
Drew Kelley

Drew Kelley is a product designer and maker of stunning Frank Lloyd Wright-inspired handmade products for the home and garden. Following discussions with a board member about what items he could potentially design for the Darwin D. Martin House Gift Shop, the first of a line of Frank Lloyd Wright-inspired products was born: The Darwin D. Martin House Bird Feeder, featuring a Tree of Life window design based on a 1903 FLW sketch.

Soon approved as an official licensee of the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation, Kelley began a "boutique manufacturing" business to produce what is now a line of seven handmade birdfeeders based on various FLW design elements. Find them at the Darwin D. Martin House gift shop, Fred Handmade Wares and online.

Meli-RLO Art Studios
Melissa Berger

Clarence native Melissa Berger recently returned to live in WNY. A graduate of NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts with an extensive background in the performing arts, Berger has turned her focus to her original passion, the visual arts. Among other offerings, she creates charming, hand-painted porcelain pieces.

Four collections — Wildlife, Marine life, Gardens and Nature and Cultural — are rounded out by Berger’s custom personalized pet portraits on porcelain. These fanciful pieces incorporate the image of a beloved pet into a piece of functional art. View her pieces online.

Pax & Liv
Brynn Fontes

Orchard Park native Brynn Fontes tapped into her love of cross-stitching as a child to teach herself embroidery. She now creates custom embroidery hoops featuring traditional floral designs with a modern twist. Her hoops can be completely customized with the text — choose initials, a family name, a significant date or birthday — as well as color preferences. Destined to be a cherished keepsake, they add a personalized touch to a nursery, gallery wall, mantel or entryway. For more visit her Etsy shop.

Art Effects Glass
Catherine O’Connor

As a "boutique" glass producer, local artist Catherine O’Connor enjoys experimenting with materials, techniques and styles. A former high school teacher, her math background helps her design, conceptualize in 3D and research intricate pieces.

Because the medium is so malleable, O’Connor admits to never knowing exactly what will come out of the kiln. Working at temperatures from 1150 to 1850 degrees, her designs — which range from tiles to accent pieces to full-on installations — are always evolving. See samples online.
