Several of the region’s top blues musicians will perform at Afternoon of Blues on June 26 in an event to raise funds for a new organization dedicated to increase organ donations in New York state.

The benefit will run from 2 to 7 p.m. at the Sportsmen’s Tavern, 326 Amherst St. The event will benefit the not-for-profit ONE8FIFTY organization founded by Tom Jasinski, a double organ transplant recipient from Amherst. Tickets will be $20 at the door or online at sportsmensbuffalo.com.

Performers include Rod Nickson, Tommy Z., Hayden Fogle, Mr. Conrad and Jack Civiletto with April Mazzone.

ONE8FIFTY gets its name from the fact that one donor can save up to eight lives through organ donation and greatly impact at least fifty others through tissue donation. Jasinski said New York ranks near the bottom of the nation in terms of organ donations.
